I don’t remember the guy who answered the phone but he was extremely helpful, walked me through what could possibly be the issues and didn’t make me feel stupid for not knowing.
I set an appointment and they called the day prior to tell me my time frame and then 30 mins before arriving( at the beginning of the time frame!!)
Mike and Dave where the guys who came to do the work. Friendly, professional, and honest. They walked me through the whole process of what was wrong, what they had to do to fix it, and updated me during the time to let me know the progress!
They cleaned up after themselves and respected my home - and answered all my questions even the ones that I didn’t call for!!
I will absolutely use them again and hopefully get Dave and Mike back because I know they know what they are doing!
Thanks guys!

The team was very professional and courteous, led by Dave, and including Mike for the major work, and Chris, initially. I appreciated that Dave explained all of the work he was doing in detail and the codes involved, and answered all questions with patience. I feel safe in my home with the upgrades and am very pleased with the work. The team worked hard and cleaned up afterwards. I needed an electrician but had no referrals. I found Fielack from a local add and did as much research as I could. From my initial call to the finished product, I am very satisfied with their services. There's a couple of more upgrades to be done and we'll definitely be using Fielack for them. read less

The team from Fielack electric, led by David, helped us... read moreThe team from Fielack electric, led by David, helped us out greatly after we discovered multiple code violations in the house we had bought. They explained all the issues to us in a very clear and understandable way, and gave us a good understanding of which issues needed to be fixed immediately (because they were potential fire hazards), and which could wait a little longer, since our finances were kind of tight after buying the house. They were also very honest in explaining that even though some things could be done in a cheaper way, they would still be in violation of codes, and could still cause problems in the long run. Compared to the other electricians I had worked with in the past, I felt that even when Fielack wasn't the cheapest option (although more often than not, they were), they were the most detail-oriented, and the most invested in not just getting the job done, but getting it done in the best possible way. Over the following several months, David and the other electricians did all the rewiring that was necessary, and even though their new wiring went all over the house, they were able to route everything so invisibly, as to only need one small wall area in front of the bathroom where a square in the wall had to be cut out (and replaced). All other access points were done in places covered by cabinets, stove, etc. They worked efficiently, made sure that everything was cleaned up after the job was done, and even kept an eye on our two kittens, making sure to keep doors closed when needed to prevent the kittens from sneaking into the house's crawlspaces and getting themselves into trouble. Today, David and Mike came by again to install an outlet under our kitchen sink. Very impressively, even though he hadn't been to our house in months now, David still remembered where all the access points were and even called ahead to let us know which areas of the kitchen and cabinets should be cleared off so that they could access them more efficiently. As they were working, even though the price had already been agreed upon, David realized that the job could be done more efficiently by using some of the existing unused wiring, and proposed to me that they can do that instead of their original plan, decreasing the final price that we had to pay. Overall, dealing with Fielack Electric, and particularly with David, Mike, and the rest of their team has been an excellent experience, and I'd definitely ask them to return for other electrical work I may need done in the future. read less

5 Reasons Why Electrical Work is Better Left to a Professional
If you’re looking for a professional electrical contractor you can trust, look no further than Fielack Electric. For the past twenty plus years, their master electricians and contractors have been servicing the electrical needs of Long Islanders in Suffolk County. Using the latest techniques and the most advanced tools, these fully licensed and insured electricians and contractors really outshine the competition. From service upgrades to pool and spa wiring – and everything in between – you can count on the experts at Fielack Electric to meet all of your needs.
Whether your lights are flickering or you need to install a few new outlets in your home, you might be tempted to tackle the project on your own. You’ve watched a few videos, read some books, and consider yourself pretty handy. What could go wrong?
The answer to that question is simple: A lot!
Even if you are a self-proclaimed DIY expert and you’ve done tons of research, unless you are actually experienced, electrical work is best left to a professional. Why? – Keep on reading to find out five reasons why you should hire a licensed and experienced electrician and contractor for your electrical needs.
Safety
If there were only one reason why you should hire a professional electrician, safety would be it. While electricity certainly makes life more convenient, it can be extremely dangerous. Even if it’s something that seems as simple as installing a new outlet, you could put yourself at risk of a serious injury if you try to do the job yourself. For example, connecting the wrong wires could result in electrocution, or a faulty connection could spark a fire.
Don’t put your safety at risk! A licensed electrician will not only have the necessary experience, but will also take every precaution to ensure that the job is completed safely.
Codes
When installing electrical wiring, strict codes must be adhered to. These codes are designed to ensure the safety of anyone who is within close proximity to the wiring, including those who reside in your home, and your neighbors.
Failure to adhere to these codes could result in serious injuries. Furthermore, if you happen to be lucky enough to avoid safety issues, not following electrical codes may detract from the value of your home. For instance, if you were to sell your house in the future and an inspection revealed that your electrical system was not up to code, a potential buyer may offer significantly less than you are asking – if they decide to make an offer at all.
A professional electrician will follow all electrical codes, further ensuring the safety of your home.
Knowledge and Experience
No matter how many how-to videos you watch and books you read, nothing can compare to the knowledge that is obtained from a formal education. Licensed electricians must complete a formal education. In fact, they cannot be licensed unless they have completed the necessary education. Additionally, a professional electrician will have hands-on experience that can be applied to the work that you need to have done.
With a formal education and hands-on experience, a professional electrician will have the knowledge that is necessary to ensure your electrical needs are safely met.
Problem Solving Skills
Even if you consider yourself very good at troubleshooting, you may not be able to find the answers when an electrical problem arises. Because of the advanced knowledge and experience a qualified electrician has, a professional will be better able to diagnose any issues.
Thanks to their advanced problem solving skills, a licensed electrician will be able to save you a lot of time and money; not to mention headaches.
Savings
You might assume that you’ll save yourself some money by trying to DIY your electrical work; however, that usually isn’t the case.
If you end up making a mistake or buying the wrong materials, you could end up spending a lot more than you would have it you hired a professional in the first place. By hiring an electrician or a contractor, you’ll not only save money in the long run, but you’ll also save valuable time. The job will be completed much faster so you can start enjoying the benefits sooner; plus, you won’t have to worry about spending your valuable time on doing the job yourself.
When it comes to electrical work, you want to make sure that the job is done safely, responsibly, efficiently, quickly, and affordably. That’s exactly why you should hire a reputable electrician.
If you’re in need of electrical services in Suffolk County, contact Fielack Electric. Their licensed electricians will ensure the job is done the right way the first time around.
