A fairly difficult challenge and dealing with an old house and wiring - and the results were outstanding. Special tip-o'-the-hat to the soldiers in the trenches (Dave the mechanic, with his assistant - Paul): as I told you guys: I actually learned a few new things about electricity. Thanks!read less

They explained all the issues to us in a very clear and understandable way, and gave us a good understanding of which issues needed to be fixed immediately (because they were potential fire hazards), and which could wait a little longer, since our finances were kind of tight after buying the house. They were also very honest in explaining that even though some things could be done in a cheaper way, they would still be in violation of codes, and could still cause problems in the long run. Compared to the other electricians I had worked with in the past, I felt that even when Fielack wasn't the cheapest option (although more often than not, they were), they were the most detail-oriented, and the most invested in not just getting the job done, but getting it done in the best possible way. Over the following several months, David and the other electricians did all the rewiring that was necessary, and even though their new wiring went all over the house, they were able to route everything so invisibly, as to only need one small wall area in front of the bathroom where a square in the wall had to be cut out (and replaced). All other access points were done in places covered by cabinets, stove, etc. They worked efficiently, made sure that everything was cleaned up after the job was done, and even kept an eye on our two kittens, making sure to keep doors closed when needed to prevent the kittens from sneaking into the house's crawlspaces and getting themselves into trouble. Today, David and Mike came by again to install an outlet under our kitchen sink. Very impressively, even though he hadn't been to our house in months now, David still remembered where all the access points were and even called ahead to let us know which areas of the kitchen and cabinets should be cleared off so that they could access them more efficiently. As they were working, even though the price had already been agreed upon, David realized that the job could be done more efficiently by using some of the existing unused wiring, and proposed to me that they can do that instead of their original plan, decreasing the final price that we had to pay. Overall, dealing with Fielack Electric, and particularly with David, Mike, and the rest of their team has been an excellent experience, and I'd definitely ask them to return for other electrical work I may need done in the future.read less

Where others threw up their hand perplexed, or worse - attempted to find a solution and failed, Fielack was prompt and efficient and FIXED lights going on and off - and other potentially dangerous situations. This is why I dubbed them - The CSI of Electricians!

The team was very professional and courteous, led by Dave, and including Mike for the major work, and Chris, initially. I appreciated that Dave explained all of the work he was doing in detail and the codes involved, and answered all questions with patience. I feel safe in my home with the upgrades and am very pleased with the work. The team worked hard and cleaned up afterwards. I needed an electrician but had no referrals. I found Fielack from a local add and did as much research as I could. From my initial call to the finished product, I am very satisfied with their services. There's a couple of more upgrades to be done and we'll definitely be using Fielack for them.read less

issue to be taken cared of to get my c of o for my swimming pool. Not only were they able to give
me an appointment right away for the test but they were able to streamline the whole process
to coordinate everything especially with the Electrical Inspector's office. I got my c of o in a record
three business days after they came to do the inspection. The electricians were very professional
and the owner of the company, Lou as well.
I would highly recommend this company. Dr. Santos of Brookville, NYread less

Fialeck eventally placed twin 240 volt circuits into the house to handle all problems. Recently when handling a short that had suddenly appeared, they noticed that certain fixtures having halogen bulbs were overheating. On checking the wiring it was found that several of the fixtures had their insulation burnt off the wires into the fixtures with extension into the ceiling. If left unrepaired it would be a major source for a spontaneous fire developing. Fortunately they were able to remove and rewire all sites needing immediate repair.read less
Electrical Contractors Near North Bellport
5 Essential Questions to Ask an Electrician Before Hiring
The first phone call Long Islanders make when they need commercial contractors is Fielack Electric. Servicing both Nassau and Suffolk Counties for over twenty years, their electricians and commercial contractors have a reputation of excellence. In other words, you can count on Fielack Electric to not only meet your electrical needs, but exceed them!
When your lights start flickering or you need to have a few new electrical outlets installed in your home, don’t make the mistake of hiring the first electrician you find. While there are plenty of electricians on Long Island, unfortunately, not all of them are reliable. The last thing you want is to end up hiring an electrician that doesn’t have the experience providing the services you need, or that doesn’t carry insurance. What happens if something goes wrong? – You could end up being seriously inconvenienced, or worse, injured, as a result of shoddy work.
To ensure you choose a qualified electrician, make sure you do your due diligence and ask the following questions before you hire just anyone to do the job.
Are you licensed?
Electrical work can be dangerous, and as such, electricians are required to carry a valid license.
A license certifies that the contractor has received the proper education and training. There are two types of licensure:
Master, which means that the individual has a minimum of two years of professional experience and can design and install electrical systems.
Journeyman, which means that the individual is only licensed to install electrical systems.
It’s extremely important for an electrician to hold a valid license. If he or she does not, that’s a red flag!
Are you properly insured?
In addition to holding a valid license, an electrician should also be insured. As mentioned, electrical work can be extremely dangerous. What happens if there is an accident and a worker is injured or your property is damaged? If the electrician isn’t insured, you could be held liable for the cost of repairs and medical care. In fact, insurance is so important that electricians are required to carry it!
An electrician or a commercial contractor should carry liability coverage; however, if he or she employs a crew, the electrician should also carry workers’ compensation coverage. Should an accident occur, you won’t be required to pay for any damages or injuries; instead, the electrician’s insurance will cover the cost.
What type of experience do you have?
Experience is just as important as a valid license. While an electrician can receive tons of training, nothing can compare to what is learned with first-hand experience. For example, an electrician may know all of the codes like the back of his hand, but if he doesn’t know how to implement those codes, that information is for naught. Furthermore, an experienced electrician will understand how to work with customers and best meet their needs.
Find out how many years a prospective electrician has been in business, as well the type of jobs he or she has performed. This information will tell you a lot about the type of work you can expect.
Who will be completing the work?
It’s important to know who will be completing the work that you need to have done. Will the owner of the company be doing the work, will employees, or will subcontractors?
If the owner isn’t going to be doing the job, make sure that whoever is also holds the proper licensing and be covered by the electrician’s insurance. You want to ensure that your bases are covered before you hire an electrician, so find out who is going to be performing the job before you decide to hire.
What services do you offer?
You also want to make sure you choose an electrician that offers the services you require. All electricians cannot perform all types of electrical work. For example, if you need to have an outdoor electrical system installed, if the electrician doesn’t have experience with this type of job, he or she probably isn’t the best choice.
Let the prospective electrician what type of work you need to have done and find out whether or not that type of work is within his or her scope.
Do you provide a warranty?
Find out if any type of warranty is offered. A reputable electrician will offer a warranty not only on workmanship, but on the parts that are used, as well.
In addition to finding out if the electrician offers a warranty, find out how long that warranty is good for.
As a reputable electrician, Fielack Electric can provide positive answers on all of the above-mentioned questions. No matter what type of electrical services you require, you can count on these expert electricians to meet all of your needs.
